HELP 17month old acting out

HELP my 17 month old was so good. I don't know what happened he bites me hits me & constantly is screaming loud. He knows he's not allowed to touch something he looks at me first smiles & touches it. He knows he's aware so I feel he's just being bad I DONT KNOW he's my 1st I've tried time outs tried sternly talking & talking nicely HELP me please PLEASE!! Thanks in advance!!!!

He is testing hid limits when he reaches out and look at you before touching something. You need to keep firm and consistent, and stay calm. Tell him "No!" and then offer him something else. At 17 months, the biting and hitting often comes from the lack of verbal skills at that age. He may be excited of frustrated and not have the speech to let you know. Practice gentle touches and praise him for every time he is soft and gentle. When he does hit or bite, look him in the eye and say, "No hitting, No biting" and turn away. The calmer you are and the less attention and reaction he gets from you the better.
