Hello everyone! I have my cycle normally on the 16th of every month last month it came on the 11th. It was normal. Then 2 weeks later I started bleeding really heavy for like 6 days then it stopped. Ithought I was having a miscarriage. I went to the Er . The Dr said it was old blood on my uterus lining. Today is the11th the day my cycle supposed to come again I guess I took a test it was negative. Should I test again. My fingers are crossed for a postive test

Well a couple things I'm assuming you're not on birth control since you're hoping for a positive test. I am 34 and haven't been on birth control for 9 years and normally I'm pretty regular...about 30 days, That being said my OB has told me anywhere from 25 to 35 and occasionally skipping a month is not unheard of. I do have to say in recent times I have gone almost 42 days... and I know I can't be pregnant because my husband had a vasectomy 7 years ago but also this past month I went only 25 days before it started again. If you're hoping to get pregnant but your period is irregular than your ovulation days will be irregular too. If you want to be proactive instead of waiting I would suggest an ovulation kit. They're a lot like pregnancy tests and will help you determine when you will be ovulating. a good rule of thumb though...15 days from the START of your last period. I used that indicator and I was only off birth control 3 months each time (twice) before I got pregnant. If you do do another pregnancy test, do it first thing in the morning. as the day goes on urine can become diluted by what you drink and if you're in the very early stages of pregnancy it can make the HCG hormone harder to detect the later in the day.
