I have a one year old. She was a premature. The has always been sick with the typical funny nose and cough. It comes and goes. The doctors tells me she has allergies. Now she has a fever that will not go away. We have tried the lukewarm water and the rubbing down alcohol. The ice chips. Everything!! Tylonol and protein rotation. Now I'm clueless on what to do next.. any other suggestions???

Allergies don't generally cause fever. If your doctor told you she has allergies, did he do tests? What is she allergic to?

How long has your daughter had a fever for and have you seen the doctor about it? Also, how high is the fever. Slight fevers should be allowed to run their course without bringing them down, but it depends how long she has had it for.
