You have to get the biological father to terminate his rights before your boyfriend can adopt the child and add his name to the BC

You cannot legally add a non biological parent to the child's BC. In certain circumstances, a non biological father may be put on the original, but it has to be special circumstances: for instance, mother has child within a certain time after a divorce, the child will be considered to be a product of the marriage, and paternity will be assumed as the ex husband.

If your child is born, you cannot add your boyfriend's name to the BC after the fact, unless he's proven to be the biological father, or unless the biological father agrees to terminate rights and your boyfriend legally adopts the child.

Personally, I would never put someone's name on my kid's BC that wasn't their biological father. You don't know how long your boyfriend's going to be in the picture either...

They do/can change the birth certificate w/ a marriage and legal adoption, but I don't know the process. I do know a friend of mine had it done for her two older girls though.

Well then do what Dove said and ask a lawyer, I don't see that being legal though.

If he isn't the Father then you can't put him on. The birth certificate is a legal document of a child's birth and has the biological parents on it.
You may be able to have your boyfriend legally adopt her though.

You only have 'full custody' if you have legal paperwork stating such, Aizha. If not, you have no legal standing. As for the biological father having 'no rights'...again, only if it is stated in legal paperwork stating such. If not, he can show up with a custody/support petition any time.

Up to you which route you want to take

You would have to get a lawyer and go to court to figure it out.
