Hi! My 9 month old son has been co-sleeping with us but he's now at an age and size where despite a super-king size bed, he thrashes around and wakes frequently. I am not so bothered by the night wakings but more that whenever I go to put him into his cot, he cries. There is a sleep association and I am making sure he eats more during the day to eliminate hunger as a reason for him keeping a close eye but at his daycare they say he falls asleep within 5 to 10 mins of protesting (ie crying) but if I leave him to cry, I get as far as 10 mins and then I have to pick him up etc...how did others do it without worrying that I am setting him up to feel abandoned - he needs to learn to sleep so how do you do it??? Thanks for any help and advice! He takes breastmilk 2-3 times a day and about 1 7oz bottle of formula and try to have him take 3 meals but usually he takes 2.
