Hi all, my 9year old daughter was told yesterday by her teacher that she will repeat grade 4, she cant seem to sit still and complete task. what can i do to help her. I'm a single parent and is working so i dont do homework with her, she is at a aftercare

Check into essential oils. I use lavender for my adult special needs child for calming, I don't know what to use for your situation, but I know they work good, also do you watch her sugar intake? I will be praying for her. :)

Hi Michelle, thanks for letting me know. Roshel, have you had a parent/teacher conference about this or did your daughter just tell you what the teacher said? Hopefully if you can meet with the teacher, you can get some clarification. Teachers should offer suggestions to help too. :) Hang in there!

Melissa: The OP could be in the Southern Hemisphere, that means our school year goes from February to December so we only have about 13 weeks left of our year.

To the OP: have you taken her to the doctor to see if she ADHD or something similar? There needs to be a bit of investigation on your part to see why she is acting up in class.

Also maybe a timer set for each task to keep her on task , and much encouragement that she can do it
