Hi! The trick to nameing anyone is picking something that matters to you. Even if you start with a middle name, say the child's father's first or middle name. I've also heard of the mother's maiden name becoming the child's first name. look to the people you love in you life the most and inspiration is bound to strike you! Go forward with love, Trina

Oh, for a girl we chose Kayteland Layne, it was going to be my sister's name, but she was a stillborn, so I was going to use it. When I have a girl in a few years (hopefully) I will name her that. Jaynae, Harli, Makaila, Blair, Shaylee, Charisma (a friend of mine named her that), Danika, Kaylee, Nia, Nessa, Payton, Bliss.. That's all I can think of at the moment.. I hope it helps, they may not be REALLY unusual, but maybe you can put two names together or something..

I named my son Levi as I did not want a common or 'made-up' name. I like the name Jonathan as I like the variations (Jono or John), but an ex really ruined that name for me! Another nice one is Dean as it also not too common. James is also nice as you can call the young child Jamie and the adult James. On my list of boys names I also had Cole, Kaleb, Owen, Reece, Pascal, Charlton, Max, Jacob, Harrison, Calvin, Dominic and Lincoln.
For girls, there are so many beautiful names. I love Lexi, Annabelle, Mari, Bailey, Belle, Lily, Ruby-Rose, Poppy, Holly, Camden and Molly. One of my all time favourites is Noah for a boy or Noa for a girl (pronounced the same but with a squiggle over the a). Good luck!

I wanted my children to have a form of my middle name (Dawn) so that they could carry a part of me with them. So I looked for names that carried that sort of meaning. My oldest daughter is Ariel Dawn (which means princess of the morning light), my 6 yr old daughter's name is Seraphine (pronounced sarah fen -long e ) Aurellia Theresa Jane ( the first two names mean little angel of dawn and the last two are for her grandmother and great grandmother respectively) and my 5yr old son is named Thomas Orion McClanahan (the first two me twin of the God of Dawn and the last is his grandfather's sir name). I have also like the name Julian and Nathanial for a boy. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

My son has the old fashioned name, but I had another name if he had brown hair when he was born. It was Caleb Joshua, but since he had blonde hair he got Christopher Michael. I had two names for my girl also. Sarah Jane is what she got. The middle name is one that's been in my family. The other name was Aundrea. Not pronounced the same as Andrea. I like looking in a book, but changing the names to your liking and spelling them the way you want. Good luck.

well my 3 girls are morgan asha, ayla grace and bethan alexi if they had been boys they would have been lewis, logan or aaron james. Dont worry you will find a name for your bub when the time is right, it'll probably just come to you or maybe you'll realise that you really like the sound of one you heard before. All of mine came to me after I stopped worrying that baby would still have no name by the time they went to school. lol. Just be careful of initials that spell something silly like Beth Uma Mcbride (BUM!!). I hope everything goes really well with your new son or daughter and good luck with your search for their name. I look forward to hearing what you choose when he or she arrives.

Check out this site Alfabette Zoope, www.zoope.com

It was originally created by an author who collected potential names for characters for books...it has some different and cool ones. We wanted something different but not off the wall. Anyway, we ended up choosing "Aven Gray" for our baby boy and have "Ayla Zo" in reserve if we ever have a girl. (Yes, we like the A names). Hope it helps!

Lane, Harley, Christian, ummm... What we did was took my dad's name and my husband's dad's name so they didn't get their feelings hurt and Paul has been in my husband's family for 4 generations. So he is Michael Paul, I know you didn't want Michael, but that's just how we did it! =) Have you surfed the internet? I did a lot of that for a girl name if we had a girl.

We named our puppies Tippy, Gordo & Shmow. I totally wouldn't mind if you used them.
