My 2.5 y/o is such a picky eater and only will eat pbj sandwich's and pancakes. He used to eat all sorts of food and now he won't and haven't since after his 2nd birthday. I've tried giving him what we eat and he throws on the floor and screams and fights and I'm not going to make him starve. I even tried those toddler dinners he used to eat and now wants nothing to do with it, I've tried hiding the food into other foods and it just don't work. His doctor says well as long as he is eating something and he isn't losing weight he is okay. That's just wrong if you ask me, we can't even go out for dinner cause he won't eat and when we have a family get together everyone gets mad and me and his father cause our son won't eat anything. I just don't know what to do please any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I have a 2.5 y/o too and I make pancakes with blueberries, bananas, or chocolate chips in them. I get frustrated sometimes when I make a meal and my son does not eat it either. His favorite food is spaghetti and I try to give him less noodles and more meat sauce. If your child is hungry he will eat what is front of him. Give him what you want him to eat first then give him what he likes at the end. Don't expect him to eat all the food you give him. If you force a child to eat he will do this when he gets older.
