Help, I can't decide to wait or try for our first!

My husband is in the army and is deploying soon. We weren't planning on trying, but we recently thought I might be pregnant but the test was negative.. We both really loved the idea and I cannot wait to be a mom, but again, he deploys soon for 9 months and after he comes home he is getting out. If I do conceive, what are the pros and cons of him being away for our first pregnancy?

If we decide to try, health care and hospital bills would be all taken care of, which would make things much easier finance wise and if we wait we'd have to pay it on our own.

I just keep going in a circle and can't decide. We really want a baby, but is it worth the wait?

Thank you so much. We HAVE decided we're going to try. I'm very excited, still nervous, but we'll make it work! :)

Go for it, esp if the costs are taken care of. Missing the pregnancy isn't so bad. It might be worse if he is away once and after the baby is born. During my pregnancy my husband was with me, then was gone for 11 months AFTER our first was born and that part was hard. I would have rather had him be gone during the pregnancy and here for the baby's first year. Of course I am talking as if I had any control over the situation. Good luck.
