I have been trying to get rid of the diaper completely but my daughter refuses to wake up in the middle of the night. Does anyone have any helpful advise on how i can do this?

She's 100% normal. Being able to stay dry through the night (or wake themselves up to pee) is a developmental milestone. Any trick in the book will work if they are ready.... and nothing will work if they aren't.

Some kids are dry through the night at 2 (or earlier) and others aren't dry through the night until preteens or later. Our ped doesn't even consider treatment unless the child is 8... and then it's up to the parents and child if they want to continue to wait... or take a more proactive approach.

Just leave her be, she may be such a sound sleeper she doesn't realize she needs to go. It's quite normal for night training to come much later.
