My daughter has mastered the art of wee and now wears big girls knickers all the time (4weeks) we achieved this with a reward chart and lots of praise and small prizes. The poop is another story.....

She goes to a quiet place and poops in her underwear and then avoids us, tried the same rewards and praise but nothing seems to be working, it has now gotten to the point were she is holding it in for 2/3 days at a time and then crying and getting upset when she starts to poop as if either its painful and scary for her , we have just gotten poop softeners so its easier for her. Pls help all advise welcome.

I have a bought a book today about going to the potty/toiler which I will introduce this evening also I have bought her a little gift that will be on display to help encourage her to poop on the toilet or potty rather than just wee as ive seen this being suggested in other threads.

She will be 3 this April. She initiated the toilet training and have tried to apply no pressure as stated previously she is dry when it comes to wee and will inform me when she needs to go etc.

The poop is the problem.

ive tried many different things but I am worried it is becoming a problem for her as she is getting upset each times she poops.

How old is she? Maybe she wasn't quite ready. I have never had to use a reward chart as I have always let my children lead their toilet training. It is quicker and a lot less messy as THEY want to do it not me.

ETA: When you see her go to her quiet corner take her to the toilet and sit with her until she goes.
