ever since i had my 2years old daughter its hard for me to loose weight i went on the depo shot it got my arms huge and my body and now i stop taking the depo shot what is the best way i can take this weight off me somebody please help

There are heaps of good diets to try, but the best way to start is to keep a food diary (writing everything down you eat and drink as well as how much and what time) for a week and look at what you're eating. Have you doctor have a look at it too and he should be able to recommend what to cut down on.

I liked Dolly Parton's diet. She would put food on her plate as she always did, then only eat half of everything. Or stop eating anything white (sugar, rice, bread, pasta, etc), because they are refined foods that have very little nutritional value and lots of stuff that will turn straight to fat.

The problem with the Atkins diet is that it is too heavy in protein and fat, so you need to take supplements. It does work, but at the possible cost of your cholesterol going up (mine did) and lack of vitamins that you get from veggies. It's not very balanced and once you come off it, unless you've been counselled by a dietician (who most likely wouldn't recommend Atkins in the first place) you risk gaining the weight back because you haven't learned about portion control and what is actually making you fat.

If you need help and guidance, try Weight Watchers. It is excellent because the members have walked the walk and can help guide you. Not only that, but you eat regular food and learn about portion control and good nutrition.

Just make sure whatever you do, drink water! Heaps of water! A glass of water before every meal too... it really does work to help fill you up. You're supposed to drink 2 liters of water a day normally, which does get really boring. Pep it up with slices of lemon or, what I like to do, smush strawberries and fruit into a glass then add water (remembering to count the calories of the fruit into your daily allowance).

If you can't tell, I've been down the diet track a few times. My favourite is Richard Simmons card one. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, because I did it so long ago (and they don't have Richard Simmons in Australia). I used to go to his gym in LA too.

Good luck with it! Just remember, it took a while to put the weight on, and it will take at least that amount of time to take it off. Realistically, it takes double the time which is a total drag, but just set smaller goals and as you reach them they start adding up and before you know it, you've lost it all!

You can try a variety of diets and exercise. I heard the Atkins diet works very well.
