Could he be teething? He may need some Tylenol for pain relief if he is (or teething tablets, or an amber necklace, etc). Or maybe is he gassy? Is he constipated? Is he hitting a growth spurt and wanting to nurse more often to increase supply? Basically with babes you need to go through the whole realm of possibilities to rule things out. Wet/Poops, hunger, pain, cold/warm, etc. Personally, from my experience, I'm willing to bet he's hit a growth spurt (usually happens around 3 months-ish). I know it can be exhausting, but keep on feeding (very frequently, if that's what he needs, the frequent feeds increase supply). Good luck with everything, I hope he settles down for you soon!

Have you tried to wear him? My daughter was lactose-intolerant and had horrid GERD and she cried all the time and would not nap either. Once someone told me to buy a moby wrap and try it, OMG it was a godsend. I didn't care that I had to wear her all the time because she wasn't screaming anymore....there was silence. I could do everything with my then 3 year old and do stuff around the house while wearing her.

Is he sleeping at night? My SIL had to go on a dairy free diet because one of her boys was allergic to dairy. She said it's surprising what products have dairy in them. Look at the labels and ingredients carefully. Some babies cry all day without stop. My friends' 3rd child cried all day long and only napped for 10 minutes. If you have a support system ask someone to come and watch baby for an hour so you can either get in a nap or a soak in the tub. Any break will give you the refresh you need to get thru the rest of the day. Check with a dietician or your family Dr to discuss diet and your options. Good luck and congrats on your little one.
