Every time it is time to say goodbye to daddy to go to work or to my parents (mammaw and pawpaw to her) she screams and cries. She will try to do anything and everything to keep them around longer. No matter what we try to do helps. And I'm the one that ends up having to deal with the fit. It breaks my heart to see her so upset. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Make it quick......then ignore the fit. Don't play into the drama. Right now drama is working for her. The Good Bye should take only a few seconds......anything longer and you are letting the drama take over. Good Bye.....1 hug, 1 kiss and leave. Then if she wants to throw a fit let her throw it......but have it be like a time out. No one pays attention to her, no one talks to her, she throws the fit in a time out spot and does not return to the group until she is calm.

I will try that and see how it does. Lately when she pitches a fit she will go in her room by herself and close the door.
I appreciate your advice.

We have tried the no goodbyes and it still turns into a fit bc she didn't tell them goodbye. We try diverting her attention and very rarely will that work.

Make good byes quick and simple. Have an activity or show that she enjoys to lead her off to. Don't play into the drama. Cheerful and quick good byes. Sometimes no good byes work the best too.
