Hiiiii!! I have a 9.5 month old baby and since I am going back to work next week, I can't keep getting up everyday so early!!! Can anyone shed some light and give me advice on how to get him to sleep longer... Here is how our routine is on most days:
5:45 am wake up
6:15am bottle
8:00am nap (45-1hour on most days)
9:00am fruits and cereal
11:30am bottle and nap (45mins to an hour on most days)
1:00pm lunch veggies and meat
2:30pm nap (aprx 1 hour )
4:30/5:00pm dinner
6:30pm bedtime routine, bottle
7:15pm sleeping for the night (put him in his crib awake)
He goes down very well and sleeps until 5:45am on most nights without interruptions
Nap time is usually easy too if I don't keep him too long awake in between. Really cranky in the afternoons but I don't want to put him early to bed since I want to spend time with him when I come home from work!!
Eats and plays well! He is up before sunlight, I tried keeping him until 6:30am but he cries and screams! Helppppp!!!!

It may simply be that you have a morning child. My eldest was, and nothing changed him...I had to adjust to that schedule, and yes, I did work full time.

Its time for you to go to bed earlier, so that you can cope with the early riser, and still handle your day.

Have you tried using sleep sack? Our daughter is over a year and I think thats been the secret to her sleeping 12 hrs at night. The one we use is zipadee zip and they can be worn up to 2 yrs old. They actually can LO's to stay in their crib longer bc they can't crawl out as easily with it. They are def able to move around though which is why it works! good luck!!

Wait, you are complaining that your baby sleeps at night from 7:15pm until 5:45am? Are you mad? Why would you mess with that? What YOU need to do is start going to bed earlier yourself. You need to change your routine, your baby's routine is fine.

Thanks for your reply! Could his first nap time be interfering with his waking up hr? I try to make it later but he is so tired

I would definitely recommend a later bed time. The sooner you start, the quicker he will adjust. He is sleeping a wonder stretch of time, but if you want him to wake up later, try a MUCH later bed time. Like 8:30-9pm. This may be a couple of weeks before he adjusts, but you have to try.

Some children wake up early and others sleep in longer. He may just be an early riser and it won't matter how late you make his bedtime.
You may need to go to bed earlier so you aren't so tired for when he wakes up.

Evening bedtime needs to be later. At the least, start with 7:30pm, and adjust from there. Good luck T M E
