Went to a Developmental Psych a couple of days ago, and was told that my daughter is showing signs of Autism. She doesn't respond when her name is called, even if I shout it loud or if im just right beside her. But she turns towards her favorite movie, songs, or unusual sounds. She used to babble and now she wont. She never plays with other kids. She prefers playing alone. I was told she lacks attention, minor sensory processing deficiency and delayed communication.

How do I make her recognize her name and help her get rid of these signs? how can I teach her to talk if won't even listens, sits still and look me in the eye?

I can't afford the therapy yet, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. :(

My 3 year old daughter does the same thing. The only difference is, she will babble and use some words, she will play with other kids, and she can look me in the eye. I was told she has Pervasive Development Disorder.

There might not be much that you can do when it comes to her listening and looking you in the eye. That just comes with the territory of autism. You probably need to look into what type of assistance your country provides for children with these types of disabilities.

The main thing you can do is just be there for your daughter. Let her know that you love her very much and show her that you love her.

these are thing she might never do, and you need to come to terms with that. is there a way that you could get her on government health care? my children are on whats called CHIPS (children's health insurance plan) and it covers behavioral health
