My daughter is turning three next month, I have spoken to two moms, already about this issue, told them everything I have been doing to get her tired in the middle of the day and both moms could not tell me anything, but, "You have done everything you could, she seems to be at that stage where she just does not want to take naps anymore, and all that is left is just to deal with it." is what they said to me. I do not know. What do you guys think, though? People say giving the kid(s) just enough stimulation will help them to get tired. i do that. First thing, we will wake up in the morning at around 6 am to around 8 am. as soon as we get up, we get ready to go to this storytime they have at my nearby library, go there, play with toys and other kids for 30 mins and than when it is time for storytime, we do that for another 30 mins and after storytime is over with, my daughter and I do an arts and crafts for another 30 minutes and after that is over, it is time for lunch. People say, giving your child a healthy diet helps them to get tired. I do that, too. For example, for breakfast i will homecook some brown rice and make it into a hot cereal and than throw some fruit into it. Morning snacks will be of some type of fruit with some cheese and same with afternoon snack, but with cheese and a veggie. beverages: strictly water, no juice, not even milk, because I fit the calcium in with her meals and snacks. People say giving your child some sunshine and exercise helps, also. I do that, too. Going to and from the library, we walk. therefore walking, we get to soak up more of the sun versus being in a window-tinted car and walking instead of driving, it gives us the opportunity to exercise our bodies. People say giving your child a massage and/or a warm, aromatic bath helps them go to sleep. I do that, also. so back to all of you, now that i have told you all the surface of things of trying to get my child to sleep, what do all of you think? Reading everything that i have told i had done, are you guys going to just say the same thing as the other two moms i have spoken to about this? Or do any of you out there have something different to say about why my child stopped taking naps during the day? somebody please get back to me on something. your responses will be greatly appreciated :). so somebody please get back to me on somthing.
