I have a nine month old son who comes to work with me everyday. I am so lucky to be able to bring him, but I feel like I'm not giving him enough to do to keep him learning! He has lots of toys, a play table, a swing, a walker, books, blocks....but I just feel like he needs more. Any suggestions??

At nine months old, he doesn't really need all sorts of toys and books. Babies that young don't really learn that way, they learn better by observing and interacting with real people. As long as he's getting lots of attention from people, he'll be just fine.

At his age, the best thing is lots of interaction. Interaction is how they learn. Unfortunately, you probably can't give him this if you are working. Have you considered that maybe some days in care may actually be more beneficial for him that entertaining himself while you are working?

I have considered doing a few days in day care, but I can't afford it. Daycare where I live is $250 a week for part time and $400 a week for full time. He gets lots of interaction from everyone in the office, I just wish there was more I could do!!
