Ok you're right, it is 6 weeks it was late at night and my brain went a little flat and made a mistake. Beyond that, at least I understand how my body works. I know I can't ovulate in the middle of a period. I know what a period is, the lining of the uterus being shed. Thus being (or getting) pregnant is pretty impossible during a period.

Since you don't seem to understand me, I found a site for little girls to understand menstruation, maybe it puts it in simple enough words for you. http://kidshealth.org/teen/sexual_health...

Denise, Yes it is possible. Odds are against it. You can get a false positive for ovulation test while on a period also (because the hormones are off)

It is more possible that her period is off. It is more possible that having sex 8 weeks after a baby caused her to bleed.

Those seem more likely than her bleeding means she's pregnant correct? How does bleeding 2 hours after sex equal pregnant anyways?

If she ovulated on the 20th ( which she does say in ONE post,) Then ovulated again on the 26th (she deleted the post saying this), did she get pregnant on the 1st? The answer is no. She does not understand her body and if she felt the need to she should call her doctor.

YES...it is possible to get pregnant while on your period but very unlikely. It is medically possible to ovulate during your menstrual cycle.

For person who asked why she is checking her ovulation cycle; There are many medical reasons why a person would want to consider trying to have another baby right away that makes it very difficult to have a child normally so once pregnant and successful it is Advised to try again as soon as possible as. Eg. Age, Endometriosis, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Or why women choose not to use birth control and she is not actually wanting to get pregnant. Another thing to remember is some women have their periods while breast feeding and other's don't. Just because you have a period doesn't mean you ovulated either. You can also get pregnant while nursing without having a period.

It is also very common for new moms to be irregular after having a baby, to have a period without ovulating.

For a more accurate answer to your question, you need to wait it out and see if you get your period next month &/or call your doctor.

lol she deleted the post where she said she ovulated on the 26th now. Either way she said it. Not that it matters.

Even if you ovulated on the 20th and then had a period, you were not pregnant and are not pregnant and need to try again next month.

Why are you taking ovulation tests when you have an 8 week old anyways? Most doctors suggest you wait at least 18 months before having another (at least that's what mine suggest)

Go see your doctor. YOu can schedule a visit any time you want to.

Quit being pissy and defensive when you get answers that you don't like. It doesn't help you, and it just amuses most reading your responses.

And how do YOU know that Cecelia doesn't know anything? She's had kids, too, you know, as have I.

Make an appointment with your doc. Only he/she can tell you what may be going on.

Your math doesn't make sense to me. You had a week long period that ended yesterday. Which means it started the 24th. then you say "I ovulated on the 26" so you ovulated in the middle of your period?

It's hurting my head so i'm just going to tell you if you think you might be pregnant see your doctor. Maybe they can explain it better. You have to go in soon to see him/her anyways for your 8 week check up.

ok let me see how can I explain this,...

October 1st was the last day of your period, since you had your period you were not currently pregnant.

and if you say you ovulate every 19 (although that is almost impossible to know, but whatever) October 20th is when you will ovulate again.

Sperm lives for 24 hours.

So can you be pregnant? No. Can you get pregnant? well... yes if you have sex when you ovulate, and your body is in working order.

It would be more reasonable that your period was not actually done. Or some people can have bleeding after sex. The odds of you having implantation bleeding a day after you had your period is pretty impossible.

7-20 days after the period in a normal 28 day cycle is normal ovulation days.

Maybe you should talk to your ob about how your body works. This should be common knowledge.
