Help!! Potty training tips for my 2 1/2 year old daughter

I can't for the life of me get my daughter to go on the potty. She seems to be going on the potty ok for her day home however not for me. My day home lady, tells me that I have to put her on the potty every half hour and leave her there for aprox 15 mins. This is not working as I work full time and can't get anything done if I continue with this. Not only that my daughter will not stay on the potty. The day home lady says she stays fine at the day home. My daughter is going through her Terrible two's as well and barely listens to a thing I say. I need help because I feel like I am undoing any progress my day home lady is doing during the week, when my daughter is home with me in the evenings and on weekends by my daughter not listening to me. Any pointers?

I'm not sure what your day home lady is doing but i'v never been able to get a 2 year old to sit still for 15 minuets! I'd just keep asking her if she wants the potty and sit her on if she gets off then leave her be, remember again in another 10-20 minuets, don't force it you'll make her hate her potty if she dose anything use stickers and jump, sing and make a fuss. Stay positive and keep at it.
