My daughter has pretty much always went to sleep with a bottle and woke up 1-2 times a night for another one. Coming up on her second birthday I decided to quit the bottles. Constipation, wetting through diapers in the middle of the night, loss of appetite, and hoping to potty train were all reasons leading to my decision. I did cold turkey after a bit of explaining that she is a big girl and doesn't need them. Well it has been a week and a half, she is still screaming and crying herself to sleep for about an hour at least. Last night it was a 3 hour struggle. It doesn't seem to be getting better. I've tried walking in every 20 minutes and calmly talking to her and saying "it's time to sleep". That seemed to make it worse. I put her to sleep with a sippy cup of water and she doesn't want anything to do with it. (She drinks them fine during the day) She even cries going to sleep for her nap... although not as long. I just don't know what to do.. I hate hearing her cry and be on so upset. I want to scoop her up, but I want her to be able to fall asleep on her own.
