2 year old son vomiting, diarrhea, fever every other night from 1:00am till around 10ish, sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Some days he is perfectly fine and others he is so sick he can't hold his head up out of his vomit. Taken him to his doc who has said, virus, allergy, gastroenteritis, and sent him to a cardiologist due to a heart murmur. Nothing helps, he is not getting better and I fear is health emotional and physical will be in danger. He is already only in the 10th percentile for size, not eating and not getting enough nutrients for over a month now has to be harmful. I don't know what else to do. I am tied to my doctor because of insurance. I am a single Mom who is trying to deal with my poor baby and a non responsive doctor and work.

My two year old is exactly the same only the docs said. He has migraines but he's on meds for that and still gets sick a lot like every week he throws up few hours at night then is fine till few days later then it starts all over again sometimes it only lasts few hours other times it's all day he is in third percentile for weight has heart murmur and inflamed kidneys so it's really hard to deal with especially since he is also on autism spectrum and don't communicate other then crying a lot

I'm sorry u r going through this alone with ur baby...my daughter, 3.5 years old, has been like your son for the past week..she started complaining about being tired...heartbeat was beating at 144..the next day she vomited only once in the morning. She had not had a full meal ever since. I took her to the doctor and I was told the same..a stomach virus. She was not given any prescription. The next day she threw up again and had dirreah..she was very weak just lying on bed and sleepy. Again I took her back to clinic last friday and they told me she should feel better by monday...but she didn't and I took her to the ER and she was given sophren right away, it is a small little pill that dissolves under the tongue for nausea, vomiting and dirreha and wait 30 mins before giving her water to see if she will retain it without throwing up...so I gave her sips of water every 5 to 10 mins and she did a lot better...do today she got up from bed., played, her apetite was better, no vomiting, no diarreah and heart beat was a lot better. She lost some weight and her clothes fit her loose. Don't give up on fluids..my daughter didn't do well with gatorade or pedialyte so doc told me to give her water..if your son is throwing up a lot i suggest you take him to the ER and hopefully he will be given something to stop his vomiting and prevent him from dehydration...do it ...I know how you feel ..I felt horrible not being able to help my daughter feel better. I hope your little one feels better soon :(

Might be a food allergy. Write down everything he eats for a week and see if there's any food (or foods) that is always consumed during the day before he is sick. Then eliminate those foods and any related foods ie: muffins then eliminate any food with wheat or flour and eggs. You will need to read labels and be vigilant. If he is in daycare try to get them to help by taking note of what he consumes. If they won't help you might can provide his food for that week.

Best of luck!
