My 10 month old daughter has a really bad red blotchy bumpy rash at the top of her privates and diaper rash cream doesn't help. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, but it looks pretty bad, but i don't want to take her to the doctor if its just a diaper rash, but we change her diapers very often, in fact, she has never had a diaper rash. If you have any ideas with what it is or what to put on it to help it get better, please help me! Thank you

my son had a really bad yeast infection recently and there was a lot that ties into this topic. so if you think of not taking him just b/c its a rash, dont think that way. you won't feel so good when the doctor tells you your child has a yeast infection. she gave me a prescription and told me to use balmex. Balmex actually worked pretty good. but then it came back. turns out it was the juice i had been giving him. any juice he drank was too strong for his little body was causing a horrible rash. looked as if it was going to bleed and give him fever.... my mother told me to buy corn mill and put it on just as i would baby powder. This worked like a charm and still does every time after just one application! buy it, use it, and never run out of it!

It could be a yeast infection. I understand not wanting to take her to the doctor if it's just a diaper rash but if the diaper rash cream isn't working at all, I would suggest taking her in to see her doctor. Read the diaper rash cream directions and it should tell you that if it persists you should see a doctor.

my little boy i think had the same thing and it finally went away. I just constantly keep it clean... either with baby wipes or bath time... and i also folded the diaper down for the rash to get air. and during the night hours... when i didnt change him as much put cream on it... hope that helps
