i have joined this group out of desperation for help with my daughter who is 12yrs going on 13yrs who is occassionally still wetting biggest problem is that she cannot smell it or tries to hide it or deny when she's wet.. I have tried to support her by saying it's a problem we can wrk on together...and said she does not have to be ashame that I jst want to help her get through this. Its been ongoing for the last few years on and off..I thought she had grown out of it last year but it started again this biggest fear is she will be starting high school next year and I dont want her to be teased or have to feel insecure about this prob..if anyone has some helpful advice it would be much appreaciated!!!

MaryEllen, have you spoken to a doctor about it? I have a stepson who was still bedwetting until last year, just after he turned 12, and the doctors ended up putting him on the medication and he hasn't had a wet bed since. We had tried the medication previously (when he was about 8 or 9), but it didn't work, it seems like once they are ready, the medication just helps it kick in. If you haven't given it a go, it's definitely worth the discussion. But you may also just want her to have a general checkup and make sure it isn't something medical that is causing it.
