Helping or hurting? Very confused

Hi, I'm confused about this situation and not sure if I'm helping someone or "enabling" them as my husband says. So I have a 16 month old daughter and were very blessed with having absolutely everything we need and most of what we want for her. I have so many outfits that a lot of things still have tags on by the time she has outgrew them( she's the first baby in my family). So I know this girl who has a daughter that is 1 yr younger then mine so I have given her a ton of my old stuff for the baby. She drank her entire pregnancy and had her baby premature and still is drinking and her mom takes care of the baby a lot of the time. My husband tells me I'm enabling this girl by helping her but I tell him I'm not doing it for her but i do it for the baby. I hate to think of a baby having nothing when I have a ton of stuff to give ( I'm currently pregnant with 2 but still have plenty to go around). What is the right thing to do?

I think it's very nice that you're passing down clothing. Children grow so fast, and I'm sure that the mom really appreciates it. I think enabling someone would be supporting their poor choices, which I don't believe you've done.
