My 22 month old daughter has been waking up from her nap every evening svreaming on the too of her lungs kicking and screaming for about 44 minutes, does not let anyone go near her touch her or anything or she gets worse. Than she calms down and stop severely screMing and just wines but still no one can go near her or touch her or she gets worse. Than through the night she has these screaming fits. It's been going on for about a week.

Ooh and don't turn the light on. That will really freak her out. Try to find some support because it will be a nightmare for you until it stops.

Night terrors. My son had them. I had them as a child. It's the most frightening experience and, unfortunately, there's no way for you to help her through them. What you think is comforting is actually scaring her even more because she is not fully awake and doesn't realize it's you. My son would wake up screaming for me and I would go to him, but then he would hit me and scream even louder. Try taking her for a car ride so she can go back to sleep. Your pediatrician might recommend to just wait it out but, as a mom, that will probably be the hardest thing to do. Don't hold her. Dont even try to touch her. Just sit and speak quietly and calmly until it passes. So sorry to hear of someone else going through this. It was the worst. But it will pass.
The most common causes are trauma, stress and lack of adequate sleep. Try to get her to nap during the day, if she doesn't, and make sure to set up a nightly routine with a strict bedtime. Good luck. And try not to let it get to you. I would sit there and just cry because I felt helpless. But she's not ill and she won't remember any of it.

Sounds like she's near the terrible two's! Although, if it's that bad she could be sick or in pain. Sometimes with a kid at that age you have to hold them whether they like it or not, and especially at this age they love to fight their naps.
