I've had 3 children and each birth was different.

My 1st one was horrible. He had a big head and I couldn't get him out on my own so he had the suction cap and I tore all the way around and had 37 stitches.

My 2nd I got induced at 7 days overdue and he was in a hurry as that labor only lasted 50mins from the first contraction till he was born I walked away as if I hadn't even given birth.

My 3rd was in between both. I contacted for about 3 hours at home and went to the hospital at about 9:45am. Got told off because my 2nd was so quick :). There were a heap of other ladies that had been there all night and all morning. I was the last one in and the first one to give birth. My daughter was born at 11:50!!! I had 5 stitches with her.

Being a mother is both the most rewarding and challenging job in the world. You don't have a manual to explain how things should work and how to troubleshoot when you have problems. Every child is different as well. They each have their own personalities and what works for one won't work for the other. Motherhood is a huge and continuous learning curve.
