I want to know how much of sugar am I supposed to add to my toddler's food? ls too much harmful?

You shouldn't be adding sugar to your toddler's food at all. There is no amount a toddler is "supposed" to have. But you don't want your child developing a taste for sugar as it will set them up for poor diet later in life.

I am curious why you think this is a needed ingredient? To improve flavor or increase calories? Like the other moms point out, no added sugar is the best choice.

you are not "supposed" to add anything. Don't develop that sweet tooth too early. It causes issues later

You aren't 'supposed' to add any. Yes, too much sugar is harmful to anyone.

There is certainly nothing exceptionally wrong w/ a bit of sugar on occasion, but there is no NEED for you to add any extra sugar to anything your child eats. Start them out w/out added sugars and you may end up w/ a child that prefers less sweet stuff... so much the better!
