After having 2 girls we found chosing a boys name very hard, in the end we decided to call our son Louie. Most people spell it with an s at the end but we wanted it to be different so went with an E. He is such a cheaky little boy and the name really suits him everyone always comments on what a lovely name it is. Good luck and whatever name you decide on I'm sure it will be lovely xx

My son's name is Garrett. It is uncommon and people comment on what a great strong name it is. The beauty is that there are no derogatory nicknames that can be derived from it. He is sometimes called Gar or Grr- which he loves!
I think it is important to have a few choices and decide after your son is born. They definitely show characteristics that assist in naming

My son is Mason curtis lee he's got 2 middle names... But i like the names kaleo ( ka-lay-o), chase, cooper, marcus, devon or devin, riley, alexander, zion, caspian, river, jordan, dylan, Kyle, bryson, jacob, aiden, zander, xavier... you can also by your hertiage, or a family name

you could try naming him after someone important to you. a parent, grandparent, childhood hero, a leader you admire. The more the name means to you the more you'll like it. Example, my son's name is Johnathan Roland. His Great uncles Name was Johnathan. My husband and my favorite books main character is Roland. It also apparently means a journey or to travel or something like that and considering he was born over 2000 miles from our home town i say it's a fitting description of our lives just before his was born

try to do it with numerology, you know the date? count it all to gether, till 1 number pa: 23-07-2010 = 2+3+7+2+1=15 = 1+5= 6
6 would be his life number. 6=F
Frederick, Finn, fibritz, ferdinant, fred, freek (dutch), frits...
Or you also count out the number of his last name to get an other number? Read about numerology and you might choose a life number for him, and make that the starter of his name.
Let us know what it will be?
Think about the men in your larger family and your husbands family. I think it's especially nice to take an admired relatives name for a middle name...if you choose an older man, he'll be flattered and you will have made a role model for Zachary.
Linda p.s. I think it should be a short name and/or ethnic related, such as Eric if you're Scandanavian, or Hans if you're German...see what I'm saying?
I was reading these and I have 3 boys. My boys are Brett Micheal, Seth Aaron, and Kyle Owen. When I was expecting My oldest (Brett) My husband worked nights and was a sleep when I was looking at names so we had a names book and I wrote down all the names I liked and he took the book to work and done the same then we wrote down the names we both liked then picked three boys names and said we would see what he looked like and are 3 names that was picked then is the 3 names of our boys and I love it they have nick names Brett never has but the other boys got nicknames that the boy older then them gave them. Brett called seth sethy as soon as he seen him and it has always been what he is called and Seth called Kyle Ky-kyleand we still call him that so try instead of over thinking it just try that. Is was wierd that we never picked a girl name only boys and I have 3 boys. Good luck I hope you find a name you truely love.

I have to share this story. My boyfriend always wanted to name his son Dominic since he was like 7 years old after seeing the movie kindergarten Cop. He told everyone in his family that was what he was going to name his son. Good thing i liked the name and i wanted to name him Gabriel but his grandpa that is american made fun of it so bad he said it was not a mens name when he plays sports he will be made fun of :( so that made me pick Dominic for the first name instead of Gabriel middle name.

I have no idea why boy names are hard to find sometimes at least harder then girls. When my boyfriend and I named our son it had to be traditional, nice sounding names and meaningful. Anyways our son full name is Dominic Gabriel James Ashton :) he has two middle names one we picked together and James after his fathers middle name and ashton is his last name and the weird thing is that it is used more then a last name . We get lots of compliment on his name all the time from young and older people. Anyways good luck in picking a new remeber he has to live with it the rest of his life.

Sometimes it gets really hard to pick out just 2 names that would fit your child. We went with 3 and started a tradition in our family that's been going over 30 years now. Ex.-Richard Paul Lee, Anthony Michael Lee, etc. My daughter has picked some of these names for future sons (I don't like all of them but they aren't your norm): Harmon Walter Lee, Jason Patrick Levi, Charles Cassidy Wiley, Johnathan Dugary Scott, Joshua Malcolm Reed, William Alec Trent, Luke Wesley Sawyer, Trevor Kelly Davis, Nathan Dakota Aaron. (Yea, she wants a football team!) So these are suggestions, maybe you'll find one or two names out of these you'll like. Good luck.
