Yes, you should ask her if she wants to continue. She may prefer something different. By all means, let her know that continuing includes making sure she practices, but if she really doesn't want to do it, you are probably just wasting your money and making it difficult for both of you.

The more you force her to do something the more she will hate it.
Have you asked her if she wants to play it anymore? Maybe she would like to learn a different instrument.
You need to have a conversation with her and listen to what she would like to do.

I had piano lessons and i didnt like it at all! I even told my teacher that i would prefer to play guitar,so he phoned my parents and said its not going to work with piano lessons. Then i finaly was aloud to take guitar lessons and it was great.

Kristina, the thing that I did with my son was: If you want to play, you will practice. If you do not want to practice, you will not participate in concerts, etc. If you don't participate in concerts, your instrument will be sold.
I hated being forced into lessons when I was a kid. I wasn't interested in piano, I wanted to play drums. Never did make it through piano lessons, but I'm a vocal musician. I don't believe in wasting the time of the director or group because one doesn't want to practice, and that's what I told my kids.
Worked out well. When my son lost interest in playing, he simply didn't enroll in orchestra the next semester. His cello is posted online for sale now...LOL
