Hi I'm Wendy - we are the parents of 1 pre-teen, 10 son and one new teen, Brynn (13). Can anyone give me advice about how to handle bullying. Last year I had to pull my son out of school 3-4 weeks early due to severe emotional, physical bullying by a group of three boys. My husband and I spoke to the principal numrous times and then he started ingoring the problem. He never returned phone calls, showed up for appt., etc. The teacher told me that next year I should put him in private school - but we really can't afford it? He will going to new school (middle) this next year so I am thinking this will help. He has ALOT of anxiety because he's so afraid to return to school and face this group of kids. I have thought about talking to the principal but don't want to appear as "problem or hovering" parent.

Me and my husband just went through this as well. 2weeks before school ended my son stopped going to school. It just wasn't worth it anymore, being so close to the end of the year anyways. He is now getting ready to enter into grade 9 and I am nervous about this following him into high school. He is a good kid who is respectful of others and does not deserve this. I wish I had an answer for you as wel as myself.
