I have a 3 month old and he is constipated I tried apple juice and hasn't worked I gave him a supository and it helped a little what should I do?

Ok first of all, apple juice is binding....pear juice helps them go. But a 3 month old should not be getting anything except breast milk or formula. If your baby is on formula, you may need to switch to a no iron formula. Iron can constipate and is usually the reason babies get constipated.

Prune and pear juice are best from a laxative perspective - I recommend the pear 'cause it tastes nicer (at any age)

Inspite of what that person says, you can give them diluted pear juice practically from birth - the only juices that really aren't suitable for an under-six-month old are the citric ones [this is one of those areas where British and over-cautious American advisers differ].

His doctor said to give apple juice so just going by what she said and hes not on iron formula but thanks for the advise anyways ill try pear juice toodles:-)

put a little karo syrup in his bottle. not alot but just a little bit. it'll relieve his tummy problems :) my mom swears by it!
