You said, "I also work at the daycare and im in her room. I know not the best thing but it is what it is." I know it is what it is and I don't know your exact circumstance but if you want my honest opinion, there's your problem. My son is great for his teachers but the second I walk into the room, either for a visit or a school event, he goes into "I'm not listening mode" and starts acting like a little turd. That's one possibility.

Also, it's possible that she may just be done with naps. My son stopped napping when he was 2 years old. He's 4 now and in the last two years I can count the number of naps he's had on one hand and ALL of them were only because he was sick.

Good luck Momma :)

My son is the opposite, he is the exact same age as your daughter, he naps at daycare but there and only there. He stopped napping at home almost a year ago, the fact he still naps at daycare blows my mind. Only half the kids in his g preschool class nap. As much as Id love for him to nap at home he's just so excited to be home with both my husband and I off work and he goes to be earlier so I really can't complain. They are almost 3 , now when my second one comes along in June Im sure i will be wishing something else lol

Ah, ok....but let's say you did tell her she didn't have to sleep but still had to rest and read, do you think she may fall asleep?

Maybe she doesn't want to sleep? Some kids give up their daytime naps quite young - my daughter was 18 months when she did this, so I implemented enforced rest time. So she had to lay down and either watch a movie, read a book, just a quiet activity. Sometimes she fell asleep, sometimes she didn't, depending on how tired she was. When she started daycare at 3, she didn't sleep when the other kids did, she just had to lay down for an hour and was allowed to have some books to read. Pretty much all the other kids slept......
