I have a premature baby who gestation age was 36 weeks. He will not sleep w/o being on my chest. He will not sleep in a bassinet. He loves for me to hold him as soon as he lays down he will not stop crying until he sweats and turns red. Last night I made the worst mistake ever by falling a sleep with him in my arms. And I dropped him on the floor but I took him to the E.R. like 5 min after A sap my heart was so heavy I felt like the worst mom ever. But I know I am awesome with and to my child. I'm just so restless can someone help me please. Do any mom have any similarities to my story. ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY! Appreciated

I had a 24 week premature baby as it is recommend that skin to skin and lots of motherly contact is good I wasn't able to hold my baby. The dr and nurses urged me to put used breast pads at the corner of his bed to help keep my sent close to him. I think k your baby is comforted not only by physical contact but also your scent. Use his crib matress sheet as a pillow cover for a few nights and then put it on the baby's bed or you could do a disposal Brest pad as I did, also thought of maybe sleeping with one of his bed time clothes. Baby's don't have perfect vision but they know distinctive scents. Hope this helps
