Hi Livia, my son is well adjusted esp with his trach, he knew what games to play and almost no sports for him. And though, he loves the sea and swimming, he know that it is a no no for him. He can communicate verbally, which totally baffled his doctors bec, for his case, voices usually are quiet or low but with him, he can shout and talk and talk. As for me, I accepted it, but sometimes it's painful esp if he wanted to "just one dip Mommy and i will do it quick", meaning he wanted to take a dip in a pool or sea. He was scheduled to be seen by the specialist in the other city but unfortunately, be are short in funds.

Hi! I have a disabled child. He almost had to have one put in because they were not sure if his lungs were going to develop or be strong enough. He has cp and autism. Hes doing well and is in 6th grade. He has to use a samsung tablet with a 5000.00 program in it to communicate. He is mostly non verbal. Is your child well adjusted? How about you? Will they ever be able to remove the tube?
