Hey ladies, I just joined this site today and am looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing tips and advice. I have a 6 1/2 month old baby girl (Elena) and she is currently teething which has been SUPER fun. I feel so bad for my little one. I just want those darn teeth to come out already! She's also been experiencing a runny nose, and a little congestion. This makes night time awful. I've already elevated one side of her mattress, and use that booger sucker all the time (despite her super dramatic protests). The pharmacist claimed it wasn't necessary to give her any meds, but I give her baby Tylenol before bed anyway, even though it doesn't help. She also claimed the runny nose and congestion are associated with teething. I'll be calling the pediatrician today just to make sure we don't need to take her in. I just wish I knew when exactly her teeth were coming in so I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thankfully, she's super happy and playful during the day even with her runny nose and sore gums. I think that makes me feel even worse. No fever, though, thank God!
Anywho, I am 28 yo, and if it wasn't obvious already, I am a first time mom. I'm currently a SAHM, but that will soon be changing once I finish up this alternative teacher's certification process. I'll also be substitute teaching a couple days a week in the near future. My husband is a police officer so his hours aren't the best. At night it's just me and Elena, and during the day Daddy sleeps. It's been an adjustment for sure. Next semester I'm on the fence about going to grad school or not. We'll see. Oh, and I'm from Austin, TX. That's enough about me I think. I hope you and your babies are doing well!
