My HOA sent me a notice to remove the basketball hoop from our front yard, that has been up since January. All the kids on the street play with it, even when we are not home. The kids play ball every night and all weekend and the HOA says we have to hide it from view. What woulld be HOA rather have children "looking" for something to do, which usually leads to destructive behavoir. I surpervise these children, feed them, give them drinks, cleans cuts and scraps and clean up their trash. All while their parents are only houses away. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can right this notice?

Also, read through your HOA guide, or whatever it is you signed when you became a part of that neighborhood. It should out line for you the do's and don'ts. Be as prepared as you can possibly be when you go.

Yeah, go to the next HOA meeting with a list of all the neighbors signatures protesting this and get it overridden. Someone had to complain. Night time basketball playing can be loud and disruptive. BUT, you should be able to fight this. Get a petition.
