How accurate HPT

I am currently 6 days late for my period. I took the Walgreens brand HPT (blue ink) at 2 days late and I took another at 5 days, both came back negative. I noticed the day before my period was supposed to start that my breast were getting very sensitive. The only other time this has happened to me was during my first pregnancy. It took my husband and I 2 years of trying before we were able to conceive our first child. She is now 9 months old and my husband continues to tell me there is no way we could become pregnant this early without trying. I’ve also miscarried in the past so I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this because I do not want anyone to think I’m “crying wolf”. Has anyone received a negative test with the Walgreens brand but then found out that you were pregnant?

I think you'll need to wait another week and then take the test first thing in the morning, when your urine is very concentrated. I had a few negative tests before finally a positive test with my first child. By the time it said "yes" I was 7 weeks pregnant.

I can't speak for the reliability of those tests. You could or could not be pregnant right now.

I will say that my friends tried for two years before getting pregnant the first time around. They decided not to go on birth control thinking they would have the same trouble the next time... and their second child is 16 months younger than his big sister. ;)
