Oh and don't offer him crackers for a little while. If the crackers are "all gone", he'll have no choice but to try something else if he's hungry.

Do you give him food and milk at the same time? If you do try alternating it. Give him water with his meals and milk at other times during the day, since he can fill up on milk and not feel hungry enough for proper food.

Make sure you offer other foods. Leave them out if he won't eat them straight away and he will eventually try it. Toddlers will eat when they are hungry and if he knows that you will eventually give him what he wants he will wait.

Don't make it a battle though. Sit down for meals as a family and serve him up what everyone else is eating. It's best to ignore him if he is refusing to eat. Carry on with the normal conversations. Usually they will give up the battle if they aren't getting any attention and will eat what's in front of them.

No worries Carol. I've got 3 but have been lucky that none of them have been too fussy with their food.

Thank you so much, Bryce is our first child at 40 so it's been a huge learning experience for the both of us.
