In Growing Kid's God's Way, Gary Ezzo talks about the importance of children seeing their parents spending time together on the couch focusing on each other and how that stabilizes them inside. Try couch time for 15-20 minutes each night, pray together and then put the child to bed.

I have a 3 and 4 year old they always have a bath at 7 ish with lavendar bubble bath they play in there for about 20 mins with there bath toys they get out and watch max and ruby for half a hour by then its 8 ish they have there warm milk then they walk up to bed. when they are in bed they have comics to write in then they fall asleep it takes about 10 min for them. I think if there fed well before bed and have a routine they will sleep in there own bed plus sometimes my come in to my bed but when they do I put them sraight back in there bed sometimes this happens 4 to 5 times a night but they understand there bed is there bed and mine is mine

Routine is definitly everything, you need to make it a good thing but also keep your foot down. It will take about a week or so of you sitting in the hall at her dorrway making sure she doesnt get up but it will be worth the week or so because she will get used to it and it will become second nature for her. Trust me routine is everything!! It is hard at first but you will be so relieved in the end.

For me, routine is everything. He/She is old enough to know what time is bedtime. Say at 8:30 you would brush teeth, get in bed and read a story with the child. Then, reward the child the next morning if she stays in her bed all night. If she goes an entire week in her bed, give her her a big prize

My 8yr old occassionally sleeps with me. We can go a week with her in her own bed, but as soon as I let her lay down with me to watch TV in my bed, I'm stuck, unless my husband can carry her to her own bed once she is sound asleep.
