How can I get my daughter to sleep other than bouncing her?

Hi. My daughter will be 8 months on April 11. When I put my daughter down for naps I either breast feed her and she falls asleep or I have to bounce her to sleep and she ends up falls asleep on me. If I try putting her down she wakes up screaming and wakes up so I usually will lie down with her. she's getting heavy to the point where I won't be able to bounce her to sleep anymore. How can I get her to sleep in her crib on her own? She does just fine when I put her down at night time. she needs her nap but my arms won't be able to bounce her to sleep for much longer. Any suggestions? I'm afraid she won't take naless I bounce her to sleep and she falls asleep in my arms.

When you put her in the crib, gently pat or her rub her and softly reassure her that your there. It may take quite a while the first few times but gradually it will take less and less until you can put her to bed and she'll put herself to sleep.
