I'm with Tamara on this one. My oldest girl heard someone say something really nasty in the grocery store one day and then started repeating it because my husband freaked out about her hearing it.

As soon as we pretended it wasn't a big deal, just said it wasn't a nice word and we didn't use it, she stopped repeating it.

Ignore it ... he doesn't know what it means, only that it gets a funny reaction when he says it

It is only a 'bad word' in your mind because you understand the meaning

Think about his intentions

Babies do this, it is normal and okay - best ignored

I agree with Tamara. At his age he doesn't understand that he shouldn't say it, he's just copying what he has heard. Make sure no one else around sayd it and he will stop soon.

pretend its no biggie, he says it because of the reaction he gets, at this point he says what he hears, So you don't say it he wont
