How did you know you were ovulating? Can you really feel it?

[deleted account] ( 1 mom has responded )

My husband and I are trying to conceive, I just went off my birth control pills (Introvale, the generic brand of Seasonale/Seasonique) on July 1st. Started a regular period on July 2nd, and according to my ovulation calculator (are those things even correct?) my fertile days should have been July 11 through today. I keep seeing posts where women conceived within a week or two after getting off birth control pills! But all of you smart mommies seem to know when you ovulated because of symptoms you had? I've never had any at all.
Any advice?

Get an ovulation kit. Personally, I've never had to use one because I was one of those who got pregnant when I blinked if I didn't have birth control, and I can also tell when I ovulate because I do get ovulation pain, but from what I gather, they are available at a pharmacy and can tell you exactly when you are ovulating if you can't tell.
