How do I deal with my 3y/o Ninja?

Just this morning I woke up to the door bell ringing, and my 3 year old daughter was on the other side of that door. I immediately freaked out and had no clue what to even say, she's never went this far before. She is what people call a "strong willed child", and so far she's only getting stronger. We've tried time out and spanking(yes I believe in spanking, and if you don't like it keep your rude comments to yourself) and none of those things work, for her anyway. She only sleeps about 6 hours a night and rarely takes a nap, which doesn't work at all for my sleep needs especially considering I also have a 1 year old son to care for also. I have no idea where to even start... Suggestions would be amazing! Thanks!

First off she is not a ninja. Second, have you told her no when she does this? Have you tried the door knob covers that are supposed keep the child from opening the door? Have you a second lock on the door such as a dead bolt she can not reach to turn to open the door? My daughter has the same issue of her daughter opening doors and they use the door knob covers to help eliminate that issue but also tell her to not touch the door. Also, she and the dad are on top of the kids all the time making sure they are safe. You could also install one of those alarm kits on her door that will go off the moment it is open.

What other things are you doing to keep her from doing this?

First thing I would find out is how she got outside and secure your house so she can't.
