My daughter is 6 1/2. I'm still having trouble getting her to sleep in her own bed. I love cuddling with her, and she's my miracle baby. And, she will only be little once. I want to enjoy every second of it. But, her dad and I don't get any sleep with her in between us. She's a pretty wild sleeper. Every night is a battle to get her in her own bed. We've tried bribery, threatening, taking away priveleges, tryng to reward her. Nothing seems to work. It takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to get her to accept getting in her own bed. She will still cry out for me for at least another 15 minutes. She eventually goes to sleep, but sometime in the night always ends up crawling in our bed. She is always asking why Daddy gets to sleep with me and she can't. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions???

My daughter was a little bit like this. I ended up putting a mattress on the floor next to my side of the bed with blankets and pillows. Any time she wanted, she just came and curled up there, that way we all slept. It was just a phase. She outgrew it and sleeps perfectly fine in her own room now. She just had a very creative mind and had a lot of nightmares, so it was something that made her feel secure.
