I was told to only give water in the bottle let her know she can have the bottle as comfort but with water only....she will lose interest but if she drinks out of a big girl cup she can have juice, milk etc..let her help you pour it in the sippy this makes it a proud moment for her and the bottle no longer becomes interesting..

My little one would not drink well from the sippy cup either. I was so afraid that if I took away the bottle she would be dehydrated and loose nutrition. However, one day I just took it away. She fussed at first and was not happy about the sippy, but by the end of the day she was drinking fine from the sippy cup. I couldn't believe it. Before that, she would only drink water from a sippy cup and would not drink milk under any conditions. Evidently, when it is the only option, they take it.

Have you tried different kinds of sippy cups? Sometimes they don't like the hard topped ones but when we started my son out we got him the cups with the silicone nipples and he took to them just fine. Also, we read our son a little book with those nifty flaps in it called "Bye, Bye Bottle!" (even though he was still pretty little when he stopped using the bottle I felt the need to explain it to him).I would start trying different kinds of cups and making specific times where the bottle isn't an option and she has to "be a big girl" and use the cup. Start small, maybe like, just at dinner and then gradually move it to lunch and dinner, etc. Just gradually increase it every couple days until she has to have the cup all the time.
