How do I get my 15 month old son off his bottle?

My son is 15 months old and still drinking from a bottle. He won't take milk from the cup but will drink water and juice from one. I'm afraid If I take the bottle away he won't drink milk at all. Could I just substitute milk with milk products? He is so used to having milk before going to sleep and a lot of people say I should take the bottle and just let him that cruel? I don't know if I could mentally take the continuous crying any suggestions? I've tried cups by avent, munchkin, and cup with straw he still won't drink it! HELP!!!

You just have to keep trying different things. Every child is different. With my oldest, I took the bottle away, gave him a sippy, and he couldn't have cared less. My second child was a bit different. She hated the sippy and refused to drink out of it. She didn't cry or fuss or anything, she just didn't drink. She went for almost a full day before she got thirsty enough and started with the sippy. My third child was and still is my most stubborn. I tried giving him the sippy. He would look at it, give this loud blood curdling scream and throw the thing at me. I tried one day for about 10min to get him to take it, before I finally just gave up. Then one day he saw another kid about his same age drinking out of a sippy. He walked over, took the thing from the other kid and started drinking out of it. After that, he didn't want a bottle anymore. My 4th child is only 10months, and I'm wondering what she will be like. lol
