I like it but I don't. That is a lot of work to do. Just imagine how it made you feel when it happened....overwhelmed and awful.
Yeah, I agree with giving him a time frame. Also, take away all electronics, and friends until it is done. Don't hesitate to say NO until he does it.
And if he doesn't do it within the time frame, garbage bag here we come.

You tell him that if he doesn't clean it within a certain time frame (and give him a time frame), you will do it and you will get rid of pretty much everything that isn't classified as a necessity. That's a lot of stuff he wants to keep that he would lose right there.
Or what American Woman suggested......but honestly, he's old enough to do it himself.

Your welcome. On the other hand snooping is my right if I have to clean your room and I read all notes so they learned real quick if I keep my room clean or at the least return moms dishes to the kitchen she stays out of my stuff.....have to be creative.

No he is old enough to clean his own filth. Give him EXACT expectations on how long he has to do it . Then if not completed by that time you go in and dump EVERYTHING in the middle of the floor....like EVERYTHING....bed...dresser...book shelf..Tec and take ALL privileges away till he cleans his room up. My dad even pulled all the clothes out of dresser and drawers..He even took my bed completely apart and it only took once and I learned real quick to keep my room clean....other than that confine him to live in his own filth till it's clean.
