I have been battling it out with my little girl for about 3 weeks now to get her to stay in bed. She has been waking up at 4:30am and ready to start the day. I have tried everything I can think of and I need help. I have had no sleep in 3 months due to a 6 month old with reflux and now this. PLEASE HELP!

My kids are abit older than yours, 4 and 2, but I tell them every night when I put them to bed that I will see them in the morning and they are to stay in their bed until the sun comes up.
Both went through a phase of waking up at 4.30am and wanting to play.

I have told them since they were both tiny they need to stay in their rooms, both since before they were 2 and they have both understood what I have told them.

I think you can buy a night light/clock thing that glows or turns off at time you have set so she knows when she is allowed to get up.

Ya that is why I didn't mention anything about time as she is far to young. However, she should be able to understand light and dark, so maybe?? I believe it is a phase and it is hard because she is still so young. Good luck!!

You could also try adjusting her nap or bedtime schedule. Maybe it's time to shorten or shift nap time so she is getting more of her sleep at night.

Thank you for your help. It's not quite that easy to reason with her due to her age. We had to transfer her to a bed as our 6 month old needed the crib. But what I can't figure out is that she has been in her bed for about 4 months now, so maybe it's a stage? She has never done this before.

Is she already in a bed and out of a crib?? If so wow that is early to me. However, back to the question at hand it is probably a phase and she is really to young to understand but you need to explain to her if it is still dark outside she has to stay in her bed. She can only get up when the sun is up.
