My child is 11yrs she is in the fifth grade only by IEP. Every year she gets W (work on) or unsatifactory in every subject except science she might get an Satifactory; she has no friends its hard for her to make friends , she is ver inmature for her age she is developemental delayed. My daughter is so far behind in school until I am at a lost. She gets speech therapy, and RSP. but it doesn't seen to be helping her. She also has ADD, she can not stay focus she has a problem with implusivity badly. she is a loving child all she wants in life so far is to have friends and play. Also is there any group activities out there that can help. Please Help I am desperate!

Thank You

Have you tried talking to the teacher about her ADD and asperger?I would sit down with the school and talk to them to see if there is something that can be done there. I would also talk to her pediatrician and see if there is something that the doctor can do to help. My 16 year old has ADD and we ended up putting her on medication that would help her to concentrate. Something else you could also try and do is to sit down with your daughter and talk to her. You can also work on things at home that they are doing in school. You may need to switch her to a school that specializes in ADD and/or autism. My oldest grandson has Autism and is in a school for that and since he started going there we have noticed a huge difference with him.
